About

Hi, I’m Maddie. I’ve been practicing my signature dotwork style since I was a teenager, and I love how it lets me focus in on the details and build up a drawing dot by dot.

During college, I studied Planetary Sciences, an academic track that included coursework in physics, geology, astronomy, astrobiology, satellite imagery, and more. All of these courses primed me to seek beauty in the tiny details of our planet, and I created some of my most inspired art during this time.

After graduation, I moved to the Pacific Northwest, where the ecosystem was new and intriguing. I choose the subjects for my art based on what excites me and what I think will be a fun challenge. My drawings are an intimate experience, as I spend hours and hours inking all of the close-up details.

Nowadays, I live with my partner and my ball python, and I work full time in a children’s museum, where my days are filled with playdough, paint, storytime, and lots of giggles. The simplicity of creating art with just a pen and paper is soothing for my overstimulated mind.

I love what I do, and I hope my art resonates with you, too.
